Description Job Title Community Education and Outreach Specialist Location Virginia Beach, VA, US Organization Name Communications Work Schedule and Other Information Brief Description Under broad guidance, the Community Education and Outreach Specialist is responsible for developing, coordinating, implementing and providing a wide variety of outreach, public involvement and educational tools, events, and activities that serve to advance the Promise and vision of HRSD, inform and educate customers and other interested parties about HRSD, its programs, initiatives, environmental and community importance, career opportunities, field activities, Capital Improvement Program (CIP) projects, prompt repair initiatives, emergency repairs and other HRSD endeavors. [Right click and select Open in New Window] Job Requirements Education Required • Bachelor's degree in education, Environmental Education, Marketing, Public Relations, Communication, English or a related field from an accredited college or university. Experience Required • Two to five years' experience in a related field demonstrating educational outreach ability within the public sector and in public and interpersonal forums • Social media content creation, audience engagement and account management experience • Budget management Desired • Skilled in use of Canva, Adobe Professional Applications, Hootsuite • Skilled in short video creation and editing Licenses and Certifications Requirements • Valid driver's license from state of residence Additional Details HRSD is committed to being an equal opportunity employer.
