Schedule Day shift, 3x12.0 hours. Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality care by ensuring adherence to the nursing care plan. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees, focusing on patient and employee safety. ResponsibilitiesPerform a nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission. Identify teaching needs and goals based on nursing assessments. Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Provide timely patient information for team conferences and ensure accurate documentation in the medical record. Participate actively in the patient rehabilitation program and prioritize patient education and care. Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission and provide relevant patient teaching. Communicate changes in patient status to all care providers to ensure continuity of care. Offer direction and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel and delegate appropriately. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to policies and procedures. Contribute positively to unit functioning and participate in team-building activities. Assume charge responsibility as needed, maintaining effective communication with management regarding service needs. Actively pursue professional development and prioritize effective use of time and staff. Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureBLS Certification required prior to first shift.
