Job Full Description Delivery Helper Position: Delivery Helper Pay: $17 per hr Schedule: Thursdays & Fridays | 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Driving Required: No - this is a helper-only role. Position Overview Arona Home Essentials in Mesquite, TX is seeking a reliable and customer-friendly Delivery Helper to assist a professional delivery driver with loading, unloading, and installing furniture and appliances in customers' homes. This role involves physical labor, excellent customer interaction, and care in handling merchandise to ensure a positive customer experience. You will represent the Arona brand inside customers' homes-professionalism, courtesy, and respect are essential. Key Responsibilities Assist driver with loading and unloading furniture, appliances, and home goods. Carry, lift, and move merchandise safely into customers' homes (including stairs). Support the assembly, setup, and installation of items such as couches, mattresses, washers/dryers, and TVs. Follow safe lifting and handling procedures. Interact with customers in a polite, respectful, and professional manner. Protect customers' property and maintain clean work areas. Verify product condition, report damages, and ensure accurate delivery. Support warehouse tasks as needed (cleaning, staging items, organizing inventory). Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Required Qualifications Ability to lift 75-100 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift. Comfortable working inside customers' homes. Reliable transportation to and from the store. Strong attendance and punctuality. Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team. Must pass background requirements per Arona's standards (if applicable). Preferred Skills & Traits Prior experience in delivery, warehouse, moving, or furniture handling (preferred but not required). Strong customer service and communication skills. Positive attitude with a willingness to learn. Ability to problem-solve on site (tight spaces, stairs, layout challenges). Professional appearance and demeanor. Respectful, courteous, and trustworthy in customers' homes. Work Environment Fast-paced, physical work. Frequent lifting, bending, and carrying.
