Data Warehouse Architect

We are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Architect to join the Child Welfare Data Warehouse team. The ideal candidate will support the development of federal reporting systems (e.g., NYTD, AFCARS, NCANDS), ad-hoc analytics, ETL pipelines, and Business Objects reporting to facilitate data-driven decision-making across the department. Position: Data Warehouse Architect 5 Location: Lansing, MI Position : 1 Closing : 4/14/2025 Work : Hybrid ddress : Lansing, MI Projected start date : 05/05/2025 Responsibilities: Collaborate with operational SACWIS/CCWIS developers to maintain data alignment between systems and the data warehouse. Design, implement, and manage ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading. Build and maintain data warehouse applications including dashboards, reports, and data visualizations. Support end-user and developer training, and provide ongoing technical support. Work directly with agency requestors to understand data needs and build custom solutions. ssist federal reporting teams with optimizing database queries and ensuring data accuracy. Required Skills: 3+ years of experience with Teradata Cloud (v17.20 preferred) 3+ years of experience with Business Objects XI and/or Power BI 3+ years performing ETL processes Bachelor's Degree Preferred Experience: Federal reporting background (e.g., NYTD, AFCARS, NCANDS) Experience working in a public sector or state government environment Technical Environment: Data Warehouse Platform: Teradata Cloud 17.20 Reporting Tools: Business Objects XI 4.2 SP4 (on Windows 2012), Power BI ETL & BI: Data warehouse-based applications, dashboards, reporting, visualizations Platform: Shared cloud platform with other State of Michigan departments Interview Process: Virtual Interviews via MS Teams. A screenshot photo of candidate will be required for any interviews as well as a vendor present at beginning of virtual interview to validate candidate. Duration: 1 year with possible extension. Remote or On-site: Accepting local candidates ONLY. Position will be hybrid, in office 2 days a week upon start and there is NO REMOTE ONLY option.
