The need for this position is due to staffing shortage. The provider should start as soon as possible. The duration of need is anticipated to be 1-2 years. The position requires on-site work with no call responsibilities. Shift times will primarily be from 7a-7p and 7p-7a. The facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center. Emergency privileges will be an option for credentialing. The emergency department handles a variable patient census based on location and shift. Common cases include abdominal pain and chest pain. Proficiency in procedures such as central access, arterial line placement, lumbar puncture, intubation, pacing, and orthopedic stabilization is required. APP coverage will be provided depending on shift and time of day. Contact personnel for timesheet approval will be designated weekly. The average EM physician staff per shift is 1 for FSED and 2 for higher acuity sections.
