Description: Auto Offer Position. Ratios are 1:6. First-timers accepted. Every other weekend required. Floating is required. Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. Daily census is approximately 35 patients. The unit has 35 rooms and 46 beds. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary. Common patient diagnoses include myocardial infarction, arrhythmia, cerebrovascular accident, syncope, diabetic ketoacidosis, congestive heart failure, post-pacemaker, stent, electrophysiology study, COVID-19, end-stage renal disease, and pulmonary embolism. Special equipment includes telemetry and IV pumps. RN will manage care for patients with telemetry needs and various cardiac conditions. The RN to CNA ratio may vary from 1:6 to 1:10-12.
