Position Type: Special Education/School Nurse Date Posted: 12/3/2025 Location: ECHO Joint Agreement Programs Date Available: TBD QUALIFICATIONS: • RN License; Certified School Nurse (CSN) Preferred • Pharmacology Approval • Current first-aid and CPR/AED Certification RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide direct professional nursing services, first aid, illness and emergency care to students in response to the nursing assessment and in accordance with professional standards, school policy and procedures, and state and local mandates. • Administer medication with appropriate documentation per ECHO policy. • Maintain accurate medical records to assure compliance with state mandates including immunizations, physical examinations and medical conditions and the related archival responsibilities. • Make appropriate assessment and referrals for suspected abuse/neglect as a mandated reporter. • Perform duties that may include but are not limited to trach care, G-tube feeding/oral feeding, catheterization, ostomy care, diapering/toileting, and positioning/lifting. • Maintain communication with the registered and certificated school nurses, teachers, other school personnel and parents/guardians to enhance cooperative action which will meet the health and safety needs of students. • Complete accident/incident reports for students/staff. • Maintain confidentiality regarding all school and health-related issues and • Maintain daily documentation of nursing intervention following HIPAA regulations. • Complete monthly Fee For Service documentation. • Utilize existing technology effectively in the performance of duties. • Perform other health or school related duties as assigned.
