The Home is a 24/7/365 long-term care facility that provides comfort, support, and professional healthcare services to elderly or disabled veterans and their spouses. Position Summary Want to experience the rewards of providing care to Wisconsin veterans? Our Nurse Clinician 2's are responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care to a mostly geriatric and/or disabled population. The incumbent provides direction to other staff in the provision and coordination of member care and monitors care given by other health team members on a unit, floor, or in a building. All activities are performed in accordance with applicable industry standards of practice, facility policies/procedures, and state and federal rules and regulations. Salary Information Starting wage is between $42.86 and $49.61 per hour, with additional compensation for nights, weekends, holidays and overtime. This job does not offer employee benefits. The position is in pay schedule-pay range 11-02. This position is not represented by a bargaining unit. Job Details These are flexible part-time positions with the option to pick up additional hours as desired with no required overtime. Shifts are available AM, PM, NOC, holidays and weekends. Candidate preferences gathered at time of interview. LTE jobs are limited to 1039 hours in a 12-month period and do not include employee benefits. Job duties require the ability to assist in patient mobility efforts, stand and/or walk up to 75% of eight-hour day to provide assessments, kneel, stoop, make visual observations, lift, push, pull, carry, reach, maintain hygiene, use special safety equipment, and wear protective clothing. Employment in this position is contingent upon passing a pre-employment tuberculosis (TB) skin test. Due to the nature of the positions, WDVA will conduct a criminal background check prior to an offer of employment. Qualifications Minimally qualified applicants will have a current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Wisconsin or a Nurse Licensure Compact state, or be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse in Wisconsin or Nurse Licensure Compact prior to hire.
