Gas Transmission Pipeline Integrity Engineer Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Gas Transmission Pipeline Integrity Engineer for a contract position in Detroit, MI. The opportunity will be seven months with a strong chance for a long-term extension. Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Gas Transmission Pipeline Integrity Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance of gas transmission pipelines through the implementation of integrity management programs, risk assessments, and engineering analyses. Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Develop and maintain Transmission Integrity Management Programs (TIMP) in accordance with 49 CFR 192 Subpart O. Conduct risk modelling and threat analysis for transmission pipeline assets. Coordinate and execute projects to perform in-line inspection assessments, data analysis, dig selection, and run validation as project engineer and project manager. Coordinate with various stakeholder teams on pipeline projects and infrastructure investments. Review and approve pipeline engineering designs and work order documentation. Analyze data from inspections (e.g., smart pigging, ultrasonic testing, corrosion monitoring) to identify potential issues and recommend mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ASME B31.8 and API 1160. Support internal audits, regulatory data requests, and performance reporting. Collaborate with regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders to maintain pipeline integrity and safety. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Industrial, or Petroleum Engineering. Minimum of 2 years of experience in pipeline integrity management, compliance, or utility design. Familiarity with pipeline inspection techniques and integrity assessment methods. Strong understanding of federal regulations and industry standards (ASME, API). Proficiency in data analysis tools and GIS software (e.g., ArcMap, MS Access).
