Mechanical Engineer Location: Alpharetta, GA Pay: $125k-$135k (DOE) Schedule: Hybrid Summary: ExecuSource is seeking a mid-level Mechanical Engineer with hands-on experience in steam generation, boiler systems, and high-pressure piping. This role supports the full project lifecycle-from energy assessments and design through construction, commissioning, and optimization-across a range of industrial capital projects. The engineer will work closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to deliver safe, efficient mechanical systems. What you get to do: Design and specify steam and boiler systems (firetube/watertube boilers, deaerators, economizers, steam headers, condensate, blowdown). Develop PFDs, P&IDs, equipment sizing, specifications, and data sheets. Apply ASME BPVC, ASME B31.1/B31.3, NBIC, and related standards. Support project execution from concept through detailed design and construction. Lead system startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Manage scope, schedules, cost estimates, RFQs, vendor selection, and contractor oversight. Perform site surveys, energy assessments, and reliability/efficiency improvements. Travel to customer sites (~20%). What you need to succeed: BS in Engineering (Mechanical preferred; Chemical or Electrical considered); MS a plus. 8+ years of experience with industrial steam and boiler systems. Strong knowledge of boiler operations, steam distribution, and water treatment. Experience with ASME codes and pressure-system safety. Proficiency with AutoCAD, Plant 3D, or similar CAD tools.
