Apprentice Maintenance Technician

Join a dynamic healthcare facility in the Pacific Northwest region seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to support facility operations. This role involves inspecting, operating, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. You will assist senior facilities personnel with moderate to complex repairs and provide on-call support for after-hours maintenance needs. Job Responsibilities Operate, maintain, and perform minor repairs on facility equipment. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions with some guidance. Perform minor carpentry, painting, drywall, and aesthetic repairs. Conduct building rounds, equipment inspections, and respond to alarms and emergencies. Complete work orders as assigned and utilize materials efficiently. Maintain a neat and professional work environment. Use computerized maintenance management systems for task documentation. Assist engineers and participate in special projects as needed. Identify and fix potential safety hazards to prevent injuries. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent is required. Preferably, candidates will have at least 2 years of experience in facility maintenance. Licenses and Certifications A current valid driver's license is required. Skills and Abilities Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Remain calm and professional during emergencies or high-pressure situations. Adaptability to changing workloads, locations, and assignments. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with sensitivity to diverse audiences.
