Job Title: B & G Temporary Grounds Crew (Summer 2026) FSLA Status: Non-Exempt Job Family: Building & Grounds Department: Building & Grounds Location: Corporate Office (Fort Wayne, IN) JOB SUMMARY Responsible for providing a safe and comfortable environment for all employees by maintaining the buildings and grounds in a state of good repair and assisting the Building & Grounds staff with seasonal and special work projects as required. POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Assist in morning routines like but not limited to clean glass on entry doors and clean patios. Assist in providing exterior maintenance of lawn, shrubs, and plants as needed. Assist with routine maintenance duties on all outdoor lawn equipment. Assist with preventative maintenance tasks on building’s interior equipment. Assist with trash removal activities as required. Assist with building repairs including caulking, sealing, painting and washing of interior windows. Assist in the sending and receiving of general merchandise and supplies. Assist in daily set-ups of training and conference rooms. Helping to ensure that repair orders and projects are completed by the completion date on the work order and recording all time in Maintain X. Assist in performing other duties as required ensuring the optimum efficiency and operation of the department. Assist with the installation and repair of the outdoor sprinkling system. Assist in maintaining the pond/fountain pumps to provide adequate water flow for all displays. Ensure that maintenance checks on the lawnmowers have been performed satisfactorily. Complete other projects as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must have good eye/hand coordination. Must have basic mechanical aptitude. Must be able to lift 50 lbs, bend, reach, and stretch to perform manual labor duties and to repair equipment. Must be able to climb a ladder. Must be able to work outside during adverse weather conditions. Must be able to communicate effectively with others. Must have general computer skills. Must be able to read to decipher information on Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). Participate in OSHA training as scheduled. Must be able to work overtime as needed, sometimes on short notice. Mechanical aptitude and experience with power tools. Effectively interface with external contacts, Brotherhood employees, managers, and department staff members. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE List Degree Requirement, Years' Experience, and Certifications Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to operate power equipment. Must have valid driver’s license.
