Nurse PractitionerFNP/ANPDepartment: MFS Adv Practice Prov Location: Millard Fillmore Suburban Location of Job: US:NY:Williamsville Work Type: Per-Diem Scheduled Work Hours: Variable Shift 9Job Description Practice of registered professional nursing by a nurse practitioner may include the diagnosis of illness and physical conditions and the performance of therapeutic and corrective measures within a specialty of practice, in collaboration with a licensed physician qualified to collaborate in the specialty involved, provided such services are performed in accordance with a written practice agreement and written practice protocols. Education And Credentials Completion of masters, post-masters' or doctorate NP program accredited by CCNE or ACEN required. Current active RN and NP license in NYS required. National NP certification required forInternal hire: Required upon transfer into new positionExternal hire: Required at the time of application. Current BLS, ACLS required. DEA or DEA eligible required. AND Agreement from appropriate physician to enter into a collaborative agreement required. Experience At least 2 years of clinical nursing experience required. 1 yr. experience as NP ORTwo (2) years of clinical experience in specialty area of practice (critical care) as RN or NP preferred. For Registered Nurse clinical positions, internal applicants must have been employed in the same job title as the per diem position for which they are applying or in a comparable area of practice. Internal applicants must have a minimum of nine (9) continuous months of comparable work experience within two (2) years of the time the per diem job is posted. External applicants must have a minimum of one (1) continuous year of comparable work experience within two (2) years of the time the per diem job is posted.
