Description Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics employing both standardized assessments and observational assessments. Craft individualized treatment strategies that cater to both short-term and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Deliver focused one-on-one interventions in speech therapy tackling various aspects such as communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Work closely with an interdisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and doctors, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care. Educate patients and families to empower progress beyond the clinical environment. Participate in inpatient evaluations and interventions occasionally, guaranteeing seamless continuity of care throughout the recovery journey. Document treatment plans and patient progress accurately and promptly, adhering to the necessary regulatory guidelines. Engage in continuous professional development and peer learning to stay abreast of the latest advancements in speech-language pathology. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet attained ASHA certification. Certifications State license as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment. Skills In-depth knowledge of evidence-based practices across all age groups with a solid grasp of speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional interpersonal abilities to communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
