Cloud Architect (AWS)

The QTI Group is partnering with a Madison client to hire a Cloud Architect. This is a one year contract-to-hire opportunity. As a senior architect, you will lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and innovative cloud solutions to support business transformation in a multi-cloud environment. Leverage your AWS cloud architecture expertise to be a key influencer to guide this organization in its digital transformation journey. Location: Madison, Wisconsin (hybrid). Must be currently located in the Madison, Wisconsin, area.Comp: $80-84/hr.Responsibilities include:Drive cloud strategy and adoption, aligning technology with business goals. Architect high-performing, resilient cloud infrastructures. Champion security and compliance, implementing robust controls and governance. Optimize performance and cost through modern DevOps practices, Infrastructure as Code, and automation. Collaborate across teams, mentor peers, and present solutions to leadership. Qualifications5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud architecture, infrastructure, and security. Expertise in AWS and multi-cloud environments required. Strong knowledge of containerization (Kubernetes, Docker), DevOps, and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation). Excellent collaboration and communication skills to bridge technical and business conversations. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred. AWS Solutions Architect certification a plus. Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
