Objective of the Position: Responsible for the training and mentoring of all Team Members, Team Leaders, Production Supervisors working within the manufacturing operations. Drive and support IATF16949, ISO 14001 and internal audit compliance. Essential Accountabilities: the position incumbent ensures, that Trains operators to identify hazards, implement quality basics, and perform general manufacturing tasks associated with the manufacturing processes found in the plant. Continuously improves training in order to improve time to productivity for newly hired employees. Gains and maintains a working knowledge of all processes in each Value Stream and maintains the skills to train others Perform work station audits to verify employees and understand their assigned work. Train all new hire operators to comply with quality requirements as written or posted. Train all new hire operators to comply with safety procedures and processes as written or posted. Coach Team Leaders through on-the-job training and on maintenance of the Team Qualification Matrix. Participate in regular updating of work instructions and support documentation of assembly line Reviews training delivery, assessment and follow-up. Coordinate training activities, related to production, with the relevant production managers. Responsible for the orientation and onboarding of all employees, including temporary employees. Ensures compliance with global standards linked to production i.e. Multivalence in EPT's, Training Program for all hourly personnel, Selection Procedure for Operators, Induction. Ensures that employee's records are updated once training has been completed. Communicates issues with trainee competencies to training coordinator and HR manager. Secondary Accountabilities: the position incumbent ensures, that Conduct all business related activities for, and on the behalf of, Eberspächer within the limits of applicable local, state, and federal legal requirements. Assists the training coordinator with task analysis as manufacturing processes change and implements approved training plans. Assists the training coordinator with the development of training material and assessments including but not limited to presentations and on-the-job training aids. Provide support to, and compliance with, all local and corporate Eberspaecher Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and other HSE related requirements. Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and follows all ENA polices related to IATF 16949 and ISO 14001; looks for way to improve and promote quality. Ability to travel domestically by car or plane. Other duties as assigned. Requirement Profile:Professional Background / Basic Qualification / Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing operation. AA or BA degree is preferred. 5+ years operator / production experience within the automotive industry, including welding and supervisory experience would be an advantage. To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office. Familiar with 8D, QPS, Risk Management, and Quality Basics. Desired experience in welding and basic robot programming. Experienced in conducting individualized and group training. Technical Expertise: Ability to transfer training content and knowledge Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and write simple correspondence. Business Acumen- Understands business implications of decisions. Knowledge of federal and state regulations. Strives to continuously improve expertise, knowledge and skills.
