Job Summary: Tryfacta is seeking a Registered Nurses- Peds Psychiatric for our client in Stony Brook, NY. This is a temporary contract assignment. Position Title: Registered Nurses-Psychiatric- (Peds Psych Unit(12N)) Location: Stony Brook, NY Duration: 13-week contract with possible extension Work Schedule: 7 AM to 07:30 PM (12 hours shift / 72 hours biweekly) Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurses-Peds Psychiatric- Behavioral Health to join our team in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Psychiatric- Behavioral Health , excellent assessment skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Experience with Cerner Electronic Medical Record preferred. Able to perform majority of patient care skills, good nursing mental and physical health assessment in the level of acute psychiatric care setting, in the specialty with minimal orientation and supervision. Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must not have had professional license or certification suspended or investigated. Must not have been named as a defendant in a professional liability claim. Must have verification of legal right to work in U.S. Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance. Must be able to complete and pass PMCS training. Must be cleared from the NY State Justice Center's Criminal Background Check Unit (SEL) and the State Central Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment (SCR) All candidates are subject to drug screening and criminal background check as described in this Agreement. Certification/experience required where applicable depending on the specialty including but not limited to: BLS PMCS RN-BC (PMH) To be considered for this position, you should have: [ Skills, Education, or Experience] Qualifications: Current New York State Registered Nurse license. Certified in BLS and able to be recertified. Preferably 2 years recent experience in inpatient adult psychiatric facility similar setting Crisis prevention training preferred (Psychiatric specialties include: Crisis Stabilization, Child [5-13 years], Geriatric, Psych ED [CPEP]. Must be able to provide 3 professional referenecs Must not have had a professional license or certification suspended or investigated.
