AI Platform Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the technology sector, is seeking an AI Platform Engineer to join their team. As an AI Platform Engineer, you will be part of the Data & AI Department supporting innovative AI development initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: AI Platform Engineer Location:Charlotte, North Carolina What's the Job? Build and maintain the MLOps / LLMOps platform enabling deployment, monitoring, evaluation, and continuous improvement of AI/LLM applications. Implement evaluation frameworks to monitor drift, hallucinations, regressions, and compliance. Configure and operate observability tools such as Arize AI or equivalent for evaluation, metrics, and monitoring. Develop pipelines for model/agent performance evaluation, data/usage drift detection, and guardrail monitoring. Implement deployment automation, CI/CD, versioning, and role-based controls for AI workloads, ensuring enterprise safety, compliance, and governance standards are met. What's Needed? 5+ years of experience in MLOps / platform engineering supporting machine learning or LLM-based applications. Hands-on experience with AI/LLM observability platforms (e.g., Arize AI). Strong understanding of deployment patterns for LLM applications, including agentic and non-agentic frameworks. Experience with CI/CD systems, model registries, telemetry logging frameworks, and operational monitoring. Proficiency with Python engineering and cloud-native services, preferably Azure.
