Job Description Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner / APRN / Physician Assistant Remote Part-Time Massachusetts About Pathfinder Recovery Pathfinder Recovery & Health Systems delivers evidence-based addiction treatment for adults in Primary Substance Use Disorder PHP and IOP programs. We are redefining addiction treatment by blending evidence-based therapy with cutting-edge technology, including AI-powered medical records and biometric-informed insights, so providers can focus on what matters most: patient care. The Opportunity We are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, APRN, or Physician Assistant to provide direct psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management for individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. This role combines clinical expertise with a patient-centered, trauma-informed approach to care. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated treatment and high-quality outcomes across telehealth and in-person care models. What You'll Do Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and formulate individualized treatment plans Provide medication management, including initiation and ongoing monitoring of psychotropic medications and medication-assisted treatments (MAT) such as buprenorphine, naltrexone, and Vivitrol Deliver care in compliance with evidence-based practices and within scope of licensure Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and medical staff to support integrated behavioral health care Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, side effects, and recovery goals Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the EHR consistent with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and organizational standards Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, case reviews, and clinical supervision as required Stay current with best practices in psychiatric and addiction medicine through continuing education Why Join Pathfinder Recovery Fully remote with flexible scheduling designed to work around your life Clinical technology that reduces administrative burden, including AI-supported records and biometric-informed insights Direct supervision and support from experienced clinical leadership Ongoing professional development in clinical practice and emerging behavioral health technology Work within a forward-thinking, innovation-driven organization committed to transforming lives Requirements What You Bring Required: Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing (APRN) or Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program Active Massachusetts licensure as a PMHNP, APRN, or PA-C, in good standing with the applicable licensing board Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration (MCSR) and active DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances, including buprenorphine, or ability to obtain upon hire Enrollment in MassPAT (Massachusetts Prescription Monitoring Program), or ability to obtain upon hire Completion of education required under MGL Chapter 94C, Section 18(e) related to opioid prescribing, controlled substance management, and overdose prevention Note: APRNs with fewer than two years of supervised prescriptive practice will be required to practice under prescriptive guidelines with a Qualified Healthcare Professional until the two-year threshold is met Ability to engage patients effectively and promote treatment adherence through trauma-informed, person-centered, and recovery-oriented approaches Strong collaboration and communication skills within an interdisciplinary treatment team Consistent, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation meeting organizational, payer, and regulatory standards including HIPAA and applicable behavioral health regulations Benefits Compensation and Schedule $70.00 to $80.00 per hour. Part-time, up to 10 hours per week with opportunity for growth. Fully remote with flexible scheduling.
