As an Assistant Safety Manager, you will coordinate and enforce safety and riskreduction measures across multiple active construction sites. Working under the Regional Safety Director or VP of Safety, you will support site teams, conduct audits, manage compliance, and play a key role in maintaining a culture of safety. Job Description The Assistant Safety Manager - DC Metro / NoVA will: Support and maintain compliance with company safety standards and OSHA regulations Conduct daily and weekly site safety audits and risk assessments Lead safety orientations and deliver training for staff and subcontractors Investigate incidents, claims, property damage, and near-misses Maintain site safety records, documentation, and reporting Assist with emergency action plans, fire protection inspections, and fallprotection oversight Serve as a primary contact for OSHA inspections and insurance audits Participate in safety policy development, committees, and professional councils MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant The Assistant Safety Manager - DC Metro / NoVA will have: 3+ years of construction safety experience with a GC or major subcontractor Bachelor's degree in safety or related field preferred (experience considered in lieu of degree) Multifamily experience is a plus, not required Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with ProCore or BlueBeam preferred Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation Ability to work weekends and travel locally as needed Must obtain the IHMM CSMP credential within the first 6 months (if not already certified) What's on Offer The Assistant Safety Manager - DC Metro / NoVA will receive: Base Salary: $75,000-$85,000 Bonus Opportunity: Up to ~$45,000 Monthly Allowances: ~$400 car allowance, Up to $125 cell phone allowance Long-term career growth within a respected, stable, and innovation-driven construction leader Exposure to large-scale multifamily projects across the DC metro area Collaborative culture with strong mentorship and continuing education Contact Carolyn Bayha Quote job ref JN-022026-6937272
