Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients across all age groups, utilizing both standardized tools and observational methods. Create tailored treatment plans that reflect individual short-term and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals. Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions targeting various facets including communication, language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing challenges. Engage in collaborative teamwork with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, doctors, caregivers, and families to develop unified care approaches. Provide relevant education to families to enhance patient progress beyond the clinical environment. Occasionally assist with inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure smooth continuity of care. Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner in compliance with all regulatory guidelines. Remain updated on the latest research and advancements in speech-language pathology via continuing education and peer interactions. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those yet to achieve ASHA certification. Certifications Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) accredited by ASHA. BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of your start date. Essential Skills Deep familiarity with evidence-based therapies suitable for all ages, encompassing both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional communication abilities to engage effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Capacity to customize therapy methods that respect and respond to diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong clinical reasoning and adept problem-solving skills.
