Event Program Manager, Event Content and Tools

Execute end-to-end operations and delivery of specific event workstreams or programs within the AWS event portfolio. This role requires strong program management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring high-quality delivery. You will be responsible for implementing event content strategies, collaborating across various teams and projects (e.g. operations, platforms, speaker programs, or specialized audience programs) and playing a key role in onsite execution during events. Key job responsibilities Program Management & Execution • /tSupport the end-to-end delivery of assigned event workstreams or programs with a focus on event content strategy (examples: content operations, platform management, expo areas, audience-specific programs) • /tManage day-to-day program activities, including timeline development and stakeholder coordination • /tCreate and maintain project documentation and status reporting • /tCoordinate with vendors and internal teams for successful delivery • /tOwn specific onsite (or dedicated online) responsibilities during live, hybrid, and virtual events Event Planning & Delivery • /tImplement standardized processes from the Global Events team • /tCoordinate event logistics within assigned workstream(s) • /tEnsure consistent delivery quality across program elements • /tSupport budget tracking and reconciliation • /tManage onsite teams and vendors during event execution • /tTroubleshoot and resolve issues during events Stakeholder Coordination • /tAct as primary liaison between stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams driving content strategy and execution and related workstreams • /tManage regular communications and status updates • /tCoordinate with regional teams to ensure local relevance while maintaining global standards • /tGather and incorporate stakeholder feedback • /tSupport stakeholder needs during event day(s) execution Operations & Measurement • /tImplement standard operating procedures and best practices • /tSupport data collection and reporting for program metrics • /tLead post-event analysis and documentation • /tContribute to process improvement initiatives • /tMaintain program documentation and playbooks Impact & Scope • /tDrive successful execution of key event workstreams with a focus on event content • /tEnsure high-quality delivery of program elements • /tContribute to process improvements and best practices • /tSupport delivery of AWS events • /tBuild expertise in specific event disciplines BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience - 5+ years of experience in event and/or event content management or related field - Experience supporting live event execution including experience with event management tools and technologies - Experience using MS Word other process/program management tools to manipulate and analyze data PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience using customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs - Experience utilizing systems and tools involving email, web, analytics, and CRM (Marketo, Tableau, Salesforce, etc.) for targeting, segmentation, reporting for demand generation - Experience with live, virtual, and hybrid event formats for technology industry events (500+ attendees) including international event experience - Understanding of specific event disciplines (content, operations, platforms) - Knowledge of event registration and marketing automation platforms Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
