Manufacturing Assembler / Operator

Manufacturing Assembler / Operator Kalogon, an early stage startup based in Melbourne, seeks a full-time Manufacturing Operator to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their work - assembling products, maintaining and improving machines, and helping develop new operations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, casual environment where no two days are the same. Key Responsibilities: Build complex and innovative medical products with a mix of electronics assembly, machining, 3D printing, and soft-goods manufacturing. Work with precision and adaptability Independently complete each of the operations and assemblies which goes into each completed product. Contribute to process improvements aimed at reducing cycle time, improving consistency, and raising product quality. Collaborate with R&D on prototypes and pilot builds, providing hands-on feedback to refine designs for manufacturability. Required skills: Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools, machines, and processes. Problem-solving mindset: able to diagnose issues, think on your feet, and create practical solutions. Able to meet production deadlines while meeting quality standards Preferred: background in small-scale manufacturing, prototyping, or other hands-on technical environments (e.g. maker, technician, machinist, or fabrication experience). Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to work independently and follow written instructions and procedures. Basic computer literacy and ability to complete digital forms or reports. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a team-focused mindset.
