Job Overview: Search Solution Group is seeking a Quality Control Manager on behalf of our client, an American manufacturer and supplier of hose fittings and accessories. This role is critical to ensuring product quality, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction. The Quality Control Manager will take ownership of the Quality Management System (QMS), driving continuous improvement initiatives, reducing cost of poor quality, and leading quality standards across the division. Key Responsibilities: Own and lead the division's Quality Management System (QMS), including development and implementation of procedures for raw material acceptance, in-process inspection, and final product evaluation Lead investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions for quality issues, defects, and customer complaints Drive cost reduction initiatives by minimizing waste, scrap, and rework to reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) Maintain and manage quality control instruments, inspection tools, and testing equipment Provide leadership, mentorship, and development for Quality Department personnel Ensure QMS compliance through employee training, internal audits, and process adherence Report quality metrics, investigation outcomes, root causes, and corrective actions to the Division Leadership Team Collaborate cross-functionally to improve manufacturing processes and product quality Support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with business objectives Requirements Include: Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Business Administration, or a related field Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment At least 5 years of experience in a leadership or decision-making role Proven experience implementing and leading a Quality Management System, preferably from the ground up Skills: Strong leadership and team development skills Advanced problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities Data analysis and critical thinking skills Proficiency with quality-related software and reporting tools Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results Certifications: Experience working in ISO-certified environments required ISO 9001 implementation experience strongly preferred Six Sigma / Black Belt certification is a plus Knowledge: Quality Management Systems (QMS) Manufacturing and production quality standards Continuous improvement methodologies Inspection and testing processes Regulatory and compliance requirements Key Competencies: Strategic and systems-level thinking Ownership and accountability Strong communication and interpersonal skills Collaborative leadership style Results-driven mindset with attention to detail Ability to influence and partner across departments How to Apply: To apply for this position, please click the "Apply" button at the top right of your screen.
