Position Title: School-Age Care Summer Camp Site Supervisor Grades 5-8, located at the Noreen Center Department: Community Education Position Classification: Paraprofessional Reports To: Coordinator of School Age Care and Program Managers JOB SUMMARY: To lead all School Age Care (SAC) staff in the preparation and implementation of quality, age appropriate curriculum. Provide a safe, enriching and enjoyable SAC Summer Camp experience under the direction of the Program Coordinator and the Program Managers. Terms of employment include: Positions start Friday, June 5th, 2026 and run through Friday, August 21st, 2026, Monday-Friday. Friday, June 5th, hours TBD. Monday and Tuesday June 8th and 9th, all positions will work 8 am-5 pm but no more than eight hours a day. No more than one week (5 days) of time off will be granted unless special conditions apply. Actual hours may vary according to enrollment. SAC will be closed Friday, June 19th and Friday, July 3rd, 2025. Salary range is $24.43-$26.67 per hour per the 2023-2025 salary schedule for paraprofessionals. All positions are temporary and do not exceed 66 days of employment. Training is required for all new hires from May 26th-June 4th, 2026 from 12:00-4:00 pm. If you have a conflict, discuss this during the interview. Available Shift ? Mondays-Fridays - 11:15 am-6:00 pm ? Fieldtrip hours could vary. QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certification/Licensure Requirement: ? Experience with School Age Care and knowledge of child development necessary; experience with children with special needs are desirable. POSITION REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE ? Plan, develop, and implement a developmentally appropriate program in accordance with the policies and philosophy of the SAC program and guidelines. ? Strong leadership skills, experience successfully supervising staff and managing support paraprofessional staff, have a demonstrated ability to work effectively and positively as a member of a management team; ability to delegate, problem solve and team build. ? Supervise and monitor children; supervise during field trips, indoor and outdoor play, participate and intervene as necessary. ? Design and maintain a supportive, safe environment. ? Maintain student files and log behavior when appropriate. ? Maintain daily schedules, rosters, and accurate counts of youth. ? Knowledge of and ability to implement emergency procedures. ? Guide children's behavior using a positive and consistent style. ? Engage, facilitate, and demonstrate positive relationships among youth and staff. ? Write, post and implement weekly lesson plans. ? Supervise youth at the pool or provide students on site with a youth-centered option or class, facilitates youth-led PM class time. ? Ability to work as a team member with staff and parents. ? Help with the bike fleet. ? Enforce proper hand washing and sanitizing. ? Ensure supplies and equipment is sanitized routinely. ? CPR, First Aid, AED, CPI certified, and Mandated Reporting training. ? Other duties as assigned by the program managers, and program coordinator. Essential Skills Required to Perform the Work: ? Ability to understand and follow data privacy rules and regulations related to students. Machines, Tools, Equipment, Electronic Devices, and Software Required: ? Operate computer, printer, photocopy machine, fax machine, iPad and other electronic or technological equipment required for the specific position. ? Proficient in various software systems; Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Meets, Word, and Excel. ? Proficient in phone systems. Physical Job Requirements: ? Physically capable of meeting all performance responsibilities required with caring for children ? Frequent standing, walking, swimming, biking, lifting waist to chest; lifting below waist; carrying, stooping, kneeling, crouching, squatting, twisting/pivoting, reaching, simple grasp, firm grasp, fine manipulation; feeling, talking, hearing & visual accommodation. Exposure to weather, daily, when supervising children outdoors, and the ability to walk two (2) miles on uneven terrain. ? Occasional sitting, pushing, pulling, climbing, and crawling. ? Energy to accomplish numerous tasks and processes. ? Lift up to 20 lbs. ? Engage with children on the floor in play areas. ? Extended periods of standing when teaching or leading an activity. ? Extended periods of sitting during meetings or deskwork. ? Bending, stooping or sitting on the floor to perform classroom activities or to provide one-to-one assistance. ? Repetitive motion keyboarding activities. ? Ability to travel between buildings, within the buildings and work area. Mental Job Requirements: ? The ability to work with interruptions, handle multiple tasks and organize and prioritize work assignments. ? Conflict resolution skills in dealing with students, parents, and colleagues. ? Prioritizing work duties, organizing and taking initiative to explore new activities and ideas to enhance student learning. Working Conditions: ? Work is primarily performed in a ccafeteria environment, which typically includes moderate noise from students. ? Work is often performed outdoors in a variety of weather conditions as well.
