GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Oswego Community Unit School District 308 will be offering four school psychologist internship positions for the 2025-2026 school year (181 Days). Interns will gain valuable experience in MTSS; initial and re-evaluations for Special Education services; Domain, Eligibility, and IEP meetings; assessment scoring and the interpretation of educational data results; participation in problem solving and 504 meetings; the completion of Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans; crisis intervention; progress monitoring; and understanding mental health services within the school setting. REQUIREMENTS: 1. Must be enrolled in an Illinois State Board of Education approved School Psychologist program, and released by the university for participation in the internship experience. 2. Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents in a civil and respectful manner. 3. Ability to be in attendance during school days. 4. Skill in prioritizing work activities to meet deadlines. 5. Knowledge of legal, ethical, and professional issues related to the practice of clinical psychology. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Develops proficiency in the administration, scoring, and interpretation of various psychological instruments. 2. Completes comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and produces written reports for educational planning. 3. Maintains accurate records regarding the services that have been provided. 4. Participates in school-based problem-solving teams to address student needs. 5. Collaborates with school-based teams to complete behavioral assessments and develop positive behavior intervention plans, which include progress monitoring. 6. Participates in professional development activities to enhance practice. 7. Participates in mental health-related activities to support students under the direct supervision of a licensed school psychologist. 8. Performs all other duties as assigned.
