Description: The Laboratory Director is responsible for the overall administrative, operational, and technical management of the laboratory. This includes ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. The role also involves maintaining high-quality laboratory testing. Supporting continuous improvement initiatives is a key responsibility. Staffing will encompass approximately 20 to 25 full-time equivalents across all shifts. The laboratory will utilize various systems and technologies. The Laboratory Information System used will be Epic Beaker. Specimen collection and documentation will be managed through Epic Rover. Referrals will be interfaced with an external pathology provider and other clinical laboratories. The laboratory will employ various types of instrumentation for different testing purposes. Chemistry tests will utilize the Roche cobas pure integrated chemistry/immunoassay platform. Hematology analyses will be conducted using Sysmex hematology analyzers. Coagulation testing will utilize the Siemens coagulation system. For molecular diagnostics, the lab will use the Cepheid GeneXpert for rapid testing. Automated urinalysis will be performed with the Clinitek automated urinalysis system. Blood bank testing will be based on gel card technology.
