Operations, Media & Event Management Internship WANT TO JOIN THE APEX TEAM? The mission of Apex is to create and execute industry-leading events at exceptional venues. Apex delivers a superior participant experience across its entire portfolio of brands-including showcases, team tournaments, and national recruiting events. Our interns play a direct role in maintaining the Apex standard across operations, media, marketing, and on-site execution. POSITION DETAILS Title: Summer Operations/Event Management Intern Start Date: May 28, 2026 End Date: July 27, 2026 Location: Hybrid Remote Payment: Two monthly stipends Hours: Up to 25 hours per week (weekends + extended event days required) Reports To: Director of Boys Team Events & Showcases (Colby Wehner), Director of Boys Events, Showcase (Brendon Clay) EVENT OPERATIONS RESPONSIBILITIES • Assist with event setup/breakdown (fields, signage, equipment) • Support staff check-in, troubleshooting, and customer service • Operate scoreboards, shot clocks, and timing systems • Maintain real-time scores, brackets, and field flow • Manage inventory (equipment, apparel, supplies) • Work directly with club directors, coaches, officials, vendors, and trainers MEDIA & MARKETING RESPONSIBILITIES - If Applicable Content Creation & Social Media • Capture on-site photography and videography • Flip content in real time for Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms • Draft, edit, and schedule posts (images, reels, short-form video) • Create graphics, visuals, and social templates Post-Event Media Management • Organize and store photo/video assets on designated platforms • Support distribution of content packages REQUIRED CONTRACTED DATES Showcases • Apex First Look - May 30-31, 2026 (Bel Air, MD) • Goalie Summit - June 29-30, 2026 (Tinton Falls, NJ) • Apex Summer Youth Games - July 20-22, 2026 (Bel Air, MD) • Apex 60 - July 22-24, 2026 (Bel Air, MD) Tournaments • Apex Summer Launch - May 31, 2026 (Bel Air, MD) • Apex Summer Kickoff - June 6-7, 2026 (Conshohocken, PA) • Apex Coastal Classic - June 13-14, 2026 (Ocean City, MD) • Apex West Chester Showdown - June 20-21, 2026 (West Chester, PA) • Apex Summer Invitational - July 11-12, 2026 (New Castle, DE) - 8 Golf Carts • Apex Summer Championships - July 18-19, 2026 (Conshohocken, PA) • Apex 60 & Summer Youth Games - July 20-25, 2026 (Bel Air, MD) QUALIFICATIONS • USA Lacrosse membership • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work long outdoor event days • Background check clearance required • Excellent communication and customer-service skills • Photography/video/social media experience is a plus • Reliable transportation • Interest in sports operations, event management, or media production WHAT YOU'LL GAIN • Hands-on experience in sports media, live content production, and event ops • A strong portfolio of photos, videos, and graphics • Networking with club directors, college coaches, athletes, and event operators • Training in event logistics, operations, and workflow systems • Internship completion letter + performance review Job Questions: If selected for this role, are you available to work nights and weekends?
