The Department of Labor & Industry is searching for an analytically minded Administrative Officer 2 to join the Audit and Compliance Division. This position is responsible for analyzing data related to business tax records to identify categories of businesses which may have misclassified workers or are underreporting wages. DESCRIPTION OF WORK As an Administrative Officer 2 in the Audit Support Unit, you will play a key role in developing, managing, and improving data exchanged with federal and state agencies, leveraging this information to perform cross-matching with tax records and generate potential audit leads. Work involves receiving other requests for investigations that will need to be analyzed to determine if an audit lead is viable thus reducing costs and giving auditors quality audit leads. You will also have the opportunity to analyze audit and investigative results to provide feedback and recommendations to auditors and management for improvements to the overall audit process and to ensure Unemployment Compensation Tax Services (UCTS) is compliant with the Tax Performance System (TPS) measures. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Work schedule may vary based on operational needs. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week upon successful completion of the required training period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
