Machinist

Machinist -Newark, DE We're looking for a skilled Machinist to join our maintenance team. This handson role is responsible for setting up, operating, repairing, installing, and maintaining factory machinery and equipment using both computercontrolled and mechanical machine tools. You'll work with tight tolerances, support plant operations, and help prevent downtime through accurate, efficient craftsmanship. Key Responsibilities of a Machinist: Install, maintain, upgrade, and fabricate machinery, parts, and equipment using blueprints, layout plans, and drawings Make tooling and machine parts to precise tolerances Operate a full range of machine tools, selecting proper tooling for efficient machining Maintain company molds, dies, and manufacturing equipment Repair machinery, troubleshoot issues, and identify areas for improvement Support other maintenance functions as needed Follow all safety rules, quality procedures, and company standards Qualifications of a Machinist: High School Diploma or equivalent Certified Machinist through a State Apprenticeship Program or Vocational Institute (required) Experience with drill press, lathe, vertical mill, surface grinder, and CNC equipment Knowledge of welding (MIG, TIG, stick) Experience with Haas CNC, Mastercam, or SolidWorks is a plus Ability to read and interpret blueprints and convert flat drawings into solid visualizations Ability to operate materialhandling equipment and obtain a company operator license Physical Requirements of a Machinist Lift up to 50 lbs overhead safely Bend, stoop, squat, push, pull, kneel, climb, and work in tight or elevated spaces Good hearing and dexterity for detecting mechanical issues and handling tools Ability to climb ladders/platforms and get on/off MHE Stand for long periods and walk the department multiple times per day PeopleShare is the leading Staffing Agency in the region and has temporary to hire and permanent jobs across 8 states.
