Penn State Health - Hershey Medical CenterLocation: US:PA:HersheyWork Type: Full TimeFTE: 1.00Shift: VariedHours: Varied- ENT/PRS Service LinesRecruiter Contact: Corey Cunningham at (//)Lead Where Precision Meets PurposeStep into a leadership role at the forefront of surgical innovation and patient-centered care.As the Registered Nurse - Clinical Leader supporting the Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Service Line in the Operating Room, you will help drive clinical excellence across a highly specialized surgical environment known for advanced procedures, collaborative practice, and outstanding patient outcomes.This is an opportunity to lead within a service line that blends technical complexity with meaningful patient impact - influencing quality, mentoring teams, and shaping the perioperative experience from preparation through recovery.What It's Like to Work in the ENT and Plastics Operating Rooms at HersheyWorking within the ENT Operating Room service line at Hershey Medical Center means practicing in a fast-paced, technology-driven setting that supports both routine and highly complex surgical interventions.Our teams support a broad range of procedures, including:Head and neck oncology surgeriesAirway reconstruction and tracheal proceduresCochlear implants and advanced otologic surgeriesEndoscopic sinus and skull base proceduresPediatric and adult ENT surgical careReconstructive and microsurgical proceduresFacial trauma and craniofacial reconstructionOncologic and post-mastectomy reconstructionCosmetic and functional plastic surgery proceduresYou will collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, advanced practice providers, speech and swallow specialists, and perioperative teams to ensure seamless, high-quality care.As part of a Level I Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center and academic medical center, you will be exposed to complex airway cases, trauma-related ENT surgeries, and innovative techniques that reflect the leading edge of surgical science.Role SummaryThe Clinical Staff Leader ensures safe, high-quality clinical care delivery and optimal patient outcomes across the ENT Operating Room service line.Responsibilities include providing direct clinical care while leading by example, serving as a role model for professional nursing practice, ensuring quality and safety in surgical care delivery, evaluating staffing models based on patient acuity and surgical volume, partnering with leadership to recommend operational and clinical improvements, and supporting staff engagement, development, and accountability.This role is ideal for nurses who are passionate about surgical services, leadership development, and advancing specialty perioperative practice.MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S) : Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Master's Degree in Nursing required Two (2) years clinical experience required Progressive leadership experience required Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
