Flight Readiness Technician - Support Critical Aircraft ModificationsLocation: Victorville, CAType: Full-Time | Consultant (12 Months)Schedule: Monday-Friday | 1st & 2nd Shift (must be willing to work both)Pay Rate: $45 - $50 per hourAbout the RolePDS Tech Commercial is seeking experienced Flight Readiness Technicians to support a major aerospace program focused on aircraft modifications. In this high-impact role, you will ensure aircraft are prepared, tested, and ready for flight by performing critical avionics work, system operations, troubleshooting, and final checks that contribute directly to safe and successful aircraft delivery.What You'll Do Perform final component installation and complete systems operational and functional testing. Troubleshoot pre-flight and post-flight functions and document non-conformance items with moderate complexity. Support avionics-focused responsibilities within a team that already has a strong structures skillset. Operate and run a flight deck with little to no assistance. Work with hydraulic systems, including system activation and operational checks. Perform work related to flight controls and ensure systems readiness. Maintain a clean, organized, FOD free work area. Support ongoing aircraft modification projects . Adhere to regular, predictable attendance requirements. Non-managerial, non-leadership role. Required Qualifications 5+ years of professional avionics experience. Ability to run a flight deck independently. Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems. Experience with flight controls. High school diploma or equivalent. Education/experience combination equivalent to: High School/GED + 4 years related experience, or Vocational/Associate degree + 2 years related experience, or Bachelor's degree and related practical background. This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting aircraft for major aerospace manufacturers (industry leader experience is a plus). A&P certification.
