Position Summary RUDIS is seeking an experienced and principled Director of Human Resources to lead all people operations and HR execution across the organization. This role is responsible for building and operating clear, compliant, and scalable HR systems that enable leaders to manage teams effectively and consistently. The Director of Human Resources partners closely with executive leadership and Culture & Athlete Leadership to ensure company values are embedded into people systems, while maintaining clear ownership of HR operations, compliance, and execution. Reporting To: COO Department: Human Resources Location: Marysville, OH Employment Type: Full-time Key Responsibilities • Own and operate all HR policies, procedures, and systems, ensuring consistency, fairness, and legal compliance • Lead employee relations, investigations, corrective action, and terminations with sound judgment and documentation • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws; manage audits and risk mitigation • Lead recruiting execution and workforce planning across corporate, operational, and seasonal roles • Partner with Finance and Operations on headcount planning and organizational scalability • Own performance management systems, including reviews, feedback frameworks, and performance improvement plans • Train and support managers on people management fundamentals, HR processes, and employee issue resolution • Lead, mentor, and develop the HR and Recruiting team • Establish HR metrics, dashboards, and reporting rhythms for leadership visibility Requirements & Qualifications Education / Experience • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required • 7+ years of progressive HR leadership experience • Strong background in employee relations, compliance, and people operations • Experience leading recruiting and HR teams in a growth-oriented organization Technical & Leadership Skills • Deep understanding of employment law, HR best practices, and compliance requirements • Proven ability to build and scale HR systems and processes • Strong judgment and discretion when handling sensitive employee matters • Demonstrated ability to coach and support leaders through complex people issues • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills • Proficiency in HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office suite • Hands-on leader who is comfortable operating at both strategic and tactical levels • Ability to partner cross-functionally and influence leaders while enforcing standards Core Competencies • Demonstrates RUDIS values of grit, humility, and discipline • Consistent, fair, and principled decision-making • Strong communicator who builds trust with leaders and employees • Calm and steady under pressure • Ability to thrive in a high-performance, fast-paced environment Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Success in this role will be measured by: • HR Effectiveness: Clear, compliant, and consistently executed HR processes across the organization • Manager Enablement: Improved manager confidence and effectiveness in people management • Risk & Compliance: Zero major compliance violations and timely resolution of employee relations issues • Recruiting Execution: Roles filled efficiently while meeting hiring standards and timelines • Performance Management: Performance issues addressed early, fairly, and consistently
