This is a Vice Chief / Assistant Facility Medical Director (AFMD) position that will work collaboratively with the Facility Medical Director and APP leadership. This team has been thriving over the past two years under outstanding clinical leadership along with strong Operational management and a supportive Hospital Administration. Mutual respect, collaboration and a genuine love of providing excellent patient care are at the core of the Anesthesia department. Ideal candidate will be highly skilled in communication, relationship building, and be able to represent the Anesthesia department as a true, collaborative partner within the organization. Responsibilities include assuring the highest standards of healthcare delivery and outcomes and maintaining an environment that supports employee satisfaction and retention. Previous leadership experience desired but not required. Anesthesia Care Team model of 10 Anesthesiologists (3 CV and 7 General) and 22 CRNAs covering 12 ORs plus EP Lab, Cath Lab and Endo. Supervision of CRNAs 1:4. CRNA are in-house providing 24/7 coverage. Diverse mix of highly complex cases including Trauma, Cardiac, heavy Ortho, Endo, Neuro, Spine, Vascular, Bariatric, Robotics, etc. No Peds. No OB. Average surgical volume of 9000 cases annually. Block proficiency required. Willingness to teach appreciated. Physicians are scheduled M-F, 7a-5p. Call Doc comes in at 3p. Post Call Day off. Trauma call is in-house 1X week, 3p-7a plus rotating 1, 24 hour weekend call shift a month starting at 7a, Sat or Sun. Post call day off.
