As a Speech Language Pathologist in Chandler, Arizona, your touch will extend far beyond addressing communication and swallowing difficulties; you will ignite potential, rekindle self-assurance, and foster authentic connections that span generations - from youngsters articulating their very first words to older adults regaining their independence after setbacks. This role presents a beautiful blend of opportunities, allowing you to work with diverse populations across the lifespan in a dynamic environment that embraces outpatient therapy with intermittent inpatient support. Whether your focus lies in pediatric development, adult neurogenic communication, or geriatric speech rehabilitation, here is where you can flourish with the flexibility you need to thrive. Role Expectations Assess individuals across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized assessments and observational techniques. Create tailored treatment plans targeting both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions encompassing communication, language fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing therapy. Work in tandem with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and families to craft unified care strategies. Educate patients and families to enhance progress outside of therapy sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient therapy evaluations, ensuring seamless continuity of care through every stage of treatment. Keep meticulous and timely records in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations. Engage in ongoing education and peer collaborations to stay abreast of advancements in the field. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required for those not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification needed within 30 days of employment. Key Competencies Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for various age groups, equipped with a profound understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional interpersonal skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Ability to customize therapy techniques for distinct cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong clinical judgment paired with effective problem-solving skills. Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and documentation practices. Perks and Benefits Competitive salary based on your experience. Flexible scheduling to promote work-life harmony and varied caseloads. Specialization opportunities in pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatric care. Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday compensation. Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance packages. Continuing education reimbursement and support for professional growth. A collaborative environment where quality care and lifelong learning are paramount. Embrace a Career Brimming with Meaning and Movement In this role, you will do more than provide speech therapy - you'll integrate into a community dedicated to reviving voices, enriching communication, and cherishing moments of joy through the simplest kindness: understanding and being understood. You'll join a family of clinicians who value collaboration over competition, where every patient's narrative matters, and you'll be entrusted with the responsibility to influence how these stories unfold.
