Description Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric to geriatric demographics, utilizing standardized assessments alongside observational methods. Formulate tailored treatment plans that effectively address both immediate goals and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Deliver targeted speech therapy focused on communication, language intricacies, fluency enhancement, vocal support, and swallowing safety. Collaborate seamlessly with fellow healthcare professionals, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers to develop and implement effective care strategies. Educate patients and their families to reinforce progress beyond the therapy sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient assessments and interventions to ensure the continuum of care throughout the patient journey. Maintain meticulous documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational requirements. Engage regularly in continuous education and peer collaborations to remain at the forefront of the field. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-informed treatment methods suitable for all age groups, along with a robust understanding of speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Adept interpersonal communication skills for effective interaction with patients, family members, and interdisciplinary teams.
