Security & Loss Prevention Specialist

Market of Choice is seeking a full-time Area Loss Prevention Specialist.The Market of Choice Security & Loss Prevention Team is a group of highly-trained professionals utilizing the best technology in four areas: Eugene/Corvallis, Portland, Bend, and Ashland. The Area Loss Prevention Specialist will cover all stores in his or her area, and visit stores in other areas for training and special projects. The ALPS will be involved in external and internal investigations, employee and customer safety, vendor and shortage issues, and physical security design and implementation. This position is starting at $19.00 per hour up to $23.00 per hour, depending on experience.DUTIESAs an Area Loss Prevention Specialist, some of your duties will include: Conduct surveillances for criminal actsApprehend, detain, and process shopliftersAssist in ORC investigationsDocument criminal acts and build solid criminal casesConduct internal and external investigationsWrite accurate and precise reportsTestify in criminal and civil courtConduct safety, shrink, and physical security auditsProvide all other Loss Prevention functions QUALIFICATIONS Required: Valid OR drivers license and reliable transportationInterest in a career in retail Loss PreventionProfessional, courteous, and calm attitudeExcellent observation and planning skillsAbility to think clearly under pressureStrong verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of local & state laws18 years or older Preferred Qualifications: DPSST CertifiedProficiency using MS Office, Digital Cameras, and CCTV operationsPreference will be given to applicants with at least three (3) years of loss prevention experience, but all applications are welcome.Applicants must be available for weekends, after hours, and occasional out of town and overnight work.
