About the Role We are seeking an experienced HVAC & Plumbing Preconstruction Project Manager to join a growing New Construction team. This role requires at least 5 years of commercial mechanical project management experience and is ideal for someone who is organized, proactive, and highly skilled at managing projects from concept through completion. Key Responsibilities Manage HVAC and plumbing new construction projects from preconstruction through closeout Engage customers, support sales efforts, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope Develop layouts, designs, and installation plans for HVAC/R and plumbing systems Oversee project scheduling, coordination, and execution using construction scheduling software Collaborate with internal stakeholders, subcontractors, and field teams Ensure compliance with state and local building codes Motivate, train, and manage team members at varying skill levels Create strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, and quality of work Troubleshoot project challenges and resolve conflicts professionally Maintain detailed documentation and demonstrate strong attention to detail Work safely with hand and power tools, lifts, ladders, and at heights as required Qualifications & Experience 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Project Manager in new construction Background in construction or building services with full project lifecycle ownership Experience working with mechanical and plumbing service contractors preferred Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and refrigeration systems Advanced understanding of system layout, design, fabrication, and installation Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills Comfortable making informed decisions independently Proficient with construction scheduling tools and standard office technology Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record Preferred Skills Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving abilities Familiarity with industrial tools and equipment Strong verbal and written communication skills Positive attitude under pressure Excellent troubleshooting and conflict-resolution skills Benefits & Perks Free employee health insurance plan Benefits begin the first day of the month following your start date Dental, vision, life, and supplemental insurance options 401(k) with company match Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays Career advancement and pay growth opportunities Employee referral bonuses Stable, year-round work (no layoffs) In-house training and professional development Local projects only - no long-distance travel Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
