Position Summary: Detailing and electrical design (hardware and software) for industrial control systems.Essential Functions and Responsibilities Design and detailing of industrial controls systems for both hardware and softwareGenerate design drawings, bill of equipment, PLC /controller code/graphic user interface code from examples and reference projectsFollow through designs to equipment fabrication, software code testing, and on-site startup/debug of all functionsMaintain transmittal records and document controlInterface with the customer to establish design goalsSpecify equipmentTravel approximately 30% Nonessential Functions Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering 3 years of position related experienceExperience with electrical engineering design for industrial controls and panelsAble to interpret NEC and local codesFamiliar with PLC programming, graphic user interface programming, computer operating systems and networkingFamiliar with instrumentation and process controlFamiliar with Robotic cell designsFamiliar with Hazardous area classificationsGood analytical and troubleshooting skillsProficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPointKnowledge of SAP is a plusAbility to understand project schedulesGood time management skillsGood written and verbal communication skillsAble to work well independently and in a team environment Other Duties:This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
