Job descriptionOur Vision: To share great experiences with both our team and our guests.We are looking for an experienced, professional line cook/expeditor to prepare food to Mike Anderson's exact specifications, set up stations for shifts, and assemble and package orders for service. Line cook duties will consist of assisting with their daily tasks. A great team member will play a key role in living true to our vision (noted above). An Expeditor is expected to familiar with the entire menu and how it is made, and is directly responsible for assembling, garnishing, selling, and controlling the flow of orders in and out of the kitchen.Here’s what we offer: Rates $13-$15A great salaryA great opportunity to work with a great team of leaders who are dedicated to helping you become the best version of yourself.There is room to grow with our great company...movin' on up!Team member discounts for our awesome food, opportunity for full-time benefits including medical insurance and 401K, as well as a free annual flu shot and vacation eligibility.Flexible schedules- we know life can be a juggling act.Amazing guests to serve.Super-great Team-members to work with!Closed on all major holidays.We close at 10:00 PM Monday-ThursdayClose at 10:30 PM on Friday and Saturday and 9:00 PM on Sundays, so no late nights!Here’s what we need:An awesome smile and winning attitude.A willingness to learn and be part of a winning team.1-2 yrs line cook and expo experience.Ability to work holidays, weekends, and Sundays.ResponsibilitiesSet up and stocking stations with all necessary suppliesPrepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables and/or preparing sauces)Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen team.Properly timing orders and ensuring they come out on time.Expedite items by communicating with cooks and timing orders.Packaging Togo orders and assembling in house orders for service.Plating and Garnishing items.Assist managers in directing the "flow" of service.Answer, report and follow kitchen managers instructionsClean up stationStock inventory appropriatelyEnsure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashionComply with sanitation regulations and safety standardsMaintain a positive and professional approach with team membersSkillsProven cooking experienceExcellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and proceduresAccuracy and speed in executing assigned tasksFamiliar with our industry’s best practicesThank you for your interest in Mike Anderson's.
