As an Internal Audit IT Manager, you will join our Internal Audit team, focusing on global IT and security audits. This role will involve executing diverse audits, providing independent assessments, and evaluating technology, products, and global information security at Coinbase. Your expertise will cover areas like cyber security, infrastructure, platforms, applications, and IT governance. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the global internal audit team, developing next-gen audit practices to maintain a premier global audit function. Comprehend local and global regulatory requirements relevant to information technology, security, and financial services applicable to Coinbase. Support the internal audit plan by executing technology and security audits from start to finish. This includes planning, stakeholder engagement, fieldwork execution, reporting, and validation of remediation responses. Prepare comprehensive audit reports evaluating the effectiveness of the internal control framework for an executive audience, ensuring findings are well-documented and substantiated. Develop tailored solutions to issues uncovered during audits. Manage audit staff and conduct ad-hoc investigations, audits, or reviews as needed. Track management’s response to audit findings and validate remedial actions. Stay informed about regulatory impacts on the company and deepen knowledge in internal control, technology, security, and company-related products. Assist in preparing internal audit materials for the Audit Committee and Board of Directors. Lead periodic control certifications to validate control effectiveness. Build and maintain trusted relationships with business unit leaders at all levels. Collaborate with first and second lines of defense for optimal utility of meetings, testing efficiency, and control coverage. Provide advisory support to business partners by identifying ways to address audit findings and enhance operational performance while maintaining objectivity as a third line of defense. Assist with regulatory inquiries related to internal audit issues. Effectively communicate with process owners, including those without finance backgrounds, about the significance of controls and a robust control environment. Encourage innovative approaches to executing projects and improving internal processes or technology. Qualifications: Over 6 years of experience in internal audit emphasizing technology, IT and information security audits, or experience in operational, technology, software development, and security fields. At least 1 year in a managerial role overseeing internal auditing processes and procedures. Bachelor's Degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field in IT/security and/or accounting. Deep understanding of cloud technology stacks, software/application development lifecycles, cloud security, and enterprise technology risk and controls. Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for quality and detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated, able to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience in a fast-paced organization. Solid understanding of data analysis techniques. Proficient in Google Suite or MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications: Professional certifications in Internal Audit / IT / Security (e.g., CISA, CFE) or a solid understanding of Chartered Institute of Internal Auditor practices. Knowledge of international regulatory requirements concerning information technology and security. Familiarity with the crypto, payments, and/or financial services sectors, along with experience in auditing information systems and controls. An entrepreneurial spirit with adaptability to the complexities of a rapidly growing startup. Experience working with outsourced or co-sourced internal audit functions. Able to work across functions and time zones. Job P74195 #LI-Remote Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location, the target annual base salary for this position ranges from $130,900 to $154,000 USD. Full-time offers from Coinbase also include bonus eligibility, equity eligibility, and comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
