Key Responsibilities: Ensure all fleet vehicles are properly registered and compliant with relevant plates, inspections, and documentation. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and enhance fleet efficiency. Conduct corrective and predictive maintenance to maintain safety and compliance with DOT and other standards. Maintain vehicle appearance to reflect UniFirst’s branding and cleanliness standards. Organize and keep the maintenance garage clean and safe; monitor parts sourcing and pricing for cost-efficient repairs. Thoroughly track and manage maintenance tasks using our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Take on additional duties as assigned by management to support fleet operations. Qualifications: What You Need: High school diploma or GED preferred. Must be at least 21 years of age. Associate's degree from an accredited technical school or equivalent experience preferred. A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required. Must meet all DOT regulatory requirements. A CDL license is a significant advantage, especially for road testing and servicing Class A vehicles. Strong diagnostic skills with GM drivability; diesel experience is a plus. Willing to work overtime and perform occasional road calls. 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience with medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including preventative maintenance, tire and wheel service, brake systems, drivetrain and suspension, electrical, and A/C systems diagnostics. Familiarity with diagnostic software and basic computer skills. Able to lift up to 80 lbs. safely.
