JMT is currently ranked #61 on Engineering News-Record’s list of the Top 500 Design Firms.Visit our website at JMTArchitecture.comPosition summary: Responsible for performing all phases of architectural work from conceptual design through construction administration.Essential functions and responsibilities: Assist project teams in development of the aesthetic and technical design and preparation of architectural design and construction documentsIndependently apply advanced architectural concepts and designsResponsible for specific technical design aspects of an assigned major project, including investigation, evaluation and recommendation of design solutions that best meets the client’s needsUtilize computer-assisted design software and equipment to prepare project designs and plans – specifically CAD, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and RevitConduct code researchEnsure quality control reviews throughout project completionCollaborate with designers, consultants, and staff to meet clients’ goalsParticipate in the conceptual design and provides full support through the entire projectCarry out complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and proceduresMay provide technical guidance to less experienced architects/architectural staff Nonessential functions and responsibilities: Perform other related duties as assigned Required SkillsRequired Experience Bachelors of Science In Architecture or Bachelors of Architecture6+ years of experienceProficient with computer-assisted design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch-UpProficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPointExperience in transportation, transit, and community architecture, specifically Bus and Rail Qualifications preferred: Masters of ArchitectureLEED AP accreditation preferred Working Conditions:Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.Field work is required on occasions where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.#LI-KW2
