USPI Memorial Hermann Bay Area Endoscopy Center is seeking a motivated Endo Pre/Post Op, Circulator RN to join our team. We have 1 OR room and 3 Treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Gastroenterology. We are looking for a candidate to be available Monday-Friday, schedule subject to changed based on surgical schedule and flow of day. Candidate needs to be available for some early mornings and later evenings.Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required. Competitive salary and benefits for the right candidate.Pre-operative Duties Assess the status of patients’ health in pre-op and ensure accuracy of identification wristbandEnsure that operative and informed consents are in orderDetermine the surgeon and procedure being carried outTake and record vital statistics of patients to ensure readiness for surgical procedureInitiate IVs and ensure that patients are informed about the procedure and attending medical staff Post-operative Duties Assess patients’ condition after a surgery has been performedEnsure that all vitals are within normal rangeLog all findings in patients’ filesAnswer patients’ questions and ensure that they are kept comfortableMonitor patients for condition changes and report any changes to the doctorInitiate patient education programs to ensure that both patients and families are educated on procedures and medicationsPerform intervention duties in cases of post-operative emergencies OR Circulating Duties Assisting with equipmentServing as a patient advocate and ensuring patient safety at all timesAssisting with positioning the patientMonitoring the patient's condition throughout the entire surgical process and acting quickly to respond to any changesMaintaining the sterile field at all timesExhibiting skillful clinical judgment and assessment skills #USP-RN#USP-123#LI-CM1Required Skills Candidates must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.Must have a current unrestricted RN license in the state.Minimum 2-year experience in a hospital setting or ASC settingCurrent American Heart BLS certification. USPI complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce. If you are offered this position and must be vaccinated under any applicable law, you will be required to show proof of full vaccination or obtain an approval of a religious or medical exemption prior to your start date.
