ROLE SUMMARY: The Foreman supervises and coordinates field personnel engaged in construction, assembly, and installation activities. This role ensures work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans, specifications, and company standards. The Foreman manages crew performance, schedules, materials, and overall job site productivity while promoting teamwork and safety. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of assigned crew members to ensure quality, safety, and productivity. Interpret plans, blueprints, submittals, and job orders to determine work methods and requirements. Plan, organize, and assign tasks to effectively utilize labor, equipment, and materials. Monitor project progress, identify and resolve issues, and communicate updates to supervisors or project managers. Maintain accurate records including timekeeping, material usage, and safety documentation. Complete time keeping for all crew members. Maintain material and tools necessary to complete work in a productive manner. Complete daily and weekly documentation per B&I and project specific requirements. Oversee subcontractor activities for quality, progress and compliance with B&I and project specific requirements. Collaborate with B&I manufacturing for all prefabrication needs. Generate layout drawings for VDC per B&I SOP. Attend BIM meetings as required. Enforce all B&I and project specific safety requirements including necessary documentation. Support B&I and project specific QA/QC requirements. Provide hands-on training, mentorship, and guidance to apprentices and journeymen. Identify potential issues or delays and communicate them proactively to project management. Ensure job sites are kept clean, organized, and secure. When project conditions allow, work with tools on installation of electrical systems. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of five years of related field experience, including journeyman-level work and demonstrated leadership skills. Extensive knowledge of electrical and building codes. Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and scheduling practices. Ability to manage personnel, allocate resources, and enforce company policies and safety procedures. Proficient with basic computer applications and scheduling or reporting tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, planning calendars). Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Valid Drivers License required SAFETY AWARENESS: B & I Contractors, Inc., makes safety a priority for all roles. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The minimum requirements for the role are specified and are necessary to succeed in the role's application of tasks This position requires the ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis. The employee must be able to perform tasks involving physical labor, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying materials, tools, or equipment. Manual material handling must be performed in accordance with OSHA safety standards and company policies to minimize risk of injury.
