Job Details Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Psychiatric / Behavioral Health Nurse Location: Wyandotte, Michigan (48192) - Detroit suburbs / Southeast Michigan Employment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nursing Job) Setting: On-site Psychiatric Unit / Behavioral Health Contract Length: 13 weeks Start Date: January 27, 2026 End Date: April 25, 2026 Schedule: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 3 shifts per week Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,980 - $2,310 Qualifications / Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan OR compact state RN license (required) Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills-experience in multidisciplinary behavioral health teams a plus Comfort working night shifts and ability to thrive in a fast-paced psychiatric unit Crisis intervention, de-escalation, or CPI training preferred (experience with behavioral health assessments strongly encouraged) Key Responsibilities Provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric nursing care to adult behavioral health patients Apply crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques to maintain a therapeutic and safe environment Cross-train and support Psych Assessment Services and admission/discharge processes Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, therapists, and other team members to develop and implement individualized care plans Administer medications, monitor patient progress, and accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes Educate and advocate for patients and families on mental health, recovery, and community resources Contribute to a positive therapeutic milieu and follow protocols for behavioral health safety and compliance Why join us?
