This posting is for a contract assignment and is not a full-time employment offer with Boeing. Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved 3rd party for the duration of the specified project. Job Summary: This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive engineering support across multiple disciplines for complex facility projects and infrastructure systems. The role involves developing conceptual and final designs, preparing cost estimates, and delivering ongoing maintenance support for buildings, equipment installations, utility systems, and grounds. Working with moderate complexity projects, you will assess design compliance with regulatory requirements and building codes while integrating activities across engineering disciplines, external consultants, and government agencies. This position requires strong technical expertise in construction principles and materials, combined with the ability to manage project execution, coordinate stakeholder activities, and translate customer requirements into practical design solutions that meet business objectives. Responsibilities: • Develop moderately complex conceptual designs, final designs, and cost estimates for architectural, civil/structural, electrical, and mechanical phases of buildings and facility systems • Review and assess design compliance with customer requirements, building codes, and applicable regulations • Conduct reliability analysis to determine causes of asset failures and capacity reductions using various methodologies including life cycle analysis, root cause failure analysis, and fault tree analysis • Facilitate implementation of improvements in asset effectiveness, availability, and maintainability • Integrate activities of multiple engineering disciplines, outside consultants, and government agencies • Manage and support construction projects including vendor selection, contractor proposal review, and performance monitoring • Produce and procure detailed design documents, drawings, specifications, and permit application packages • Review contractor redlines and ensure accuracy of drawing archives and libraries • Document construction changes to comply with regulatory requirements and facility standards • Provide input to strategic and long-term infrastructure planning and capital improvement recommendations • Translate customer requirements into design options with supporting documentation and cost estimates • Develop and update design standards and site-specific operating procedures • Lead project teams and manage project expenditures within authorized budgets • Create and maintain project management information and communications • Interpret and analyze applicable regulations, standards, codes, and ordinances • Provide support for securing necessary permits and regulatory approvals Skills: • Strong knowledge of construction principles, practices, and materials across multiple engineering disciplines • Proficiency in civil/structural engineering design and analysis • Understanding of reliability tools and methods for asset management • Ability to review and approve technical design documents • Project management and execution capabilities • Vendor and contractor management skills • Strong communication skills for coordinating with stakeholders and resolving issues • Analytical skills for conducting code research and compliance assessments • Ability to develop cost estimates and manage budgets • Problem-solving skills for identifying and implementing design alternatives • Knowledge of building codes and regulatory requirements • Ability to work with limited supervision Experience: • Minimum 3 years of relevant engineering experience Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related engineering discipline • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain within specified timeframe This is an exceptional opportunity to make a significant impact on facility operations and infrastructure development while working on diverse projects that span multiple engineering disciplines.
