Assistant Project Manager/Quality Control Manager

NIKA is hiring for an Assistant Project Manager who will be responsible for the on-site Project Management of Muirkirk Road Complex (MRC) in Laurel, Maryland! This position is pending per contract award and start date is TBD once approved. Job Duties: Serve as backup to Project Manager for all PM duties Participate in project planning meetings, conferences, site visits, and final inspections Review project submittals, shop drawings, and blueprints Provide technical support and oversight for maintenance and operations Ensure environmental compliance with EPA, MDE, and WSSC regulations Oversee Aquaculture Building operations (where applicable) Collaborate with Chief Engineer to develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Assist with quality control oversight and inspections Coordinate work activities and schedules Maintain documentation and records Interface with Government personnel on technical matters Support emergency response activities Required Certifications: Maryland State First Grade Stationary Engineer License (current and active) Maryland State HVACR Master License (or equivalent state/local license) OSHA 10-hour General Industry Safety and Health Requirements: Minimum 5 years documented facility management or O&M contract management experience Experience with Government contracts (Federal, State, or local) preferred Experience with BSL-2 or BSL-3 laboratory facilities highly desirable Experience with AAALAC-accredited animal research facilities highly desirable.
