Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesHematology/Oncology APP Inpatient Position:St. Joseph Medical Center, part of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team. In our ongoing effort to expand our exceptional care to regions in the Puget Sound, we are looking for a well-trained, collegial, caring Advanced Practice Provider who is motivated to provide the best possible patient care in Tacoma, WA.Expectations for inpatient APP position are as follows: 8 hour shift Monday-Friday covering new consultations to oncology from ER and hospitalists, will be staffed with the oncology attending on call later that same day follow-up existing oncology inpatients, and will be staffed with the oncology attending for that patient expected census of 10-15 patients for the service, responsibilities may be split with the attending, if larger volumes Job Requirements Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program Current Washington State ARNP license or active license prior to starting Prior experience with EPIC a plus, but not required Ability to maintain positive working relationships with physicians, and hospital staff, patients and their families Excellent communication skills and professionalism Strong commitment to patient care team concept and privacy guidelines Where You'll WorkVirginia Mason Franciscan Health has a rich history of providing exceptional healthcare, dating back to 1891.
