Network Automation Engineer, Fullstack Development

Summary: Join Meta's Production Services Automation Team (PSAT), part of the Infra Data Center (IDC) organization, and play a vital role in supporting one of the world's most sophisticated and extensive networks. As a key member of our team, you will innovate and build tools that facilitate network deployment, maintenance, and scaling of data center and edge infrastructure. This is a unique opportunity to engage with global networking at Meta. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain internal tools (Web, Mobile, etc.) that assist with network design, planning, deployment, and operations. Collaborate closely with engineering teams, vendors, and third parties to ensure alignment on our internal tooling initiatives. Work with engineering teams to implement, validate, and improve products that are customer-facing, while identifying and resolving performance and scalability issues in user interfaces. Architect robust and reusable front-end systems to support complex web applications. Develop innovative software solutions to enhance our network's capability and drive efficiency through automation in our data centers. Identify and address gaps affecting multiple teams/orgs, create execution plans, and drive projects while influencing cross-team collaboration. Enhance team productivity by identifying bottlenecks and facilitating changes to improve workflows. Lead and mentor team members and cross-functional partners, addressing their challenges and delivering effective automation solutions. Assist in recruitment and onboarding efforts, providing mentorship to new team members for a smooth transition into our work environment. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. A minimum of 7 years of experience in software development for network infrastructure. Proficiency in programming languages such as Javascript, PHP, Python, Go, or C++. Experience with web technologies, including React.JS, HTML, and CSS. Fullstack development experience with SQL, PHP/Hack, and GraphQL. Strong knowledge of architectural design principles for frontend applications and fullstack systems. Skilled in debugging, performance benchmarking, and implementing automated testing. Proven ability to translate business requirements into software specifications and articulate system designs. Familiarity with a technology-agnostic approach to engineering. Preferred Qualifications: Expertise in PHP, Javascript, Python, React, and GraphQL. Experience leading and contributing to significant cross-functional projects on a global scale. A proven track record of working within a global team in a matrixed environment with minimal supervision. Public Compensation: $135,000/year to $191,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits.
